Deeper Into Design
This course, which follows HUA 125 (Intro to Computer Art), is an advanced-level investigation of the current techniques used to produce visual communications and design. Through in-class lectures and hands-on projects, students develop skills including vector drawing, editorial illustration, photo manipulation, 3D rendering, and art that is optimized for web applications.
Self Portraits / HUA 126
Portraits were drawn in in Adobe Illustrator, an object oriented, vector based drawing program used for print design and illustration.
Currency Design
For this assignment, students were asked to consider two concepts: Iteration- creating variations on a theme by designing a set of 1, 5 and 10 note bills, and Power- specifically, the power of design to convince nations that printed paper has value.
Political Poster
Students were instructed to select a political event and express their opinion with images.
Package Design
Images and vector art mapped to 3 dimensional objects.
